Welcome to Grand Lux Cafe, a delightful culinary destination tucked away at 630 Old Country Rd in Garden City, NY. Known for its expansive menu that blends classic American fare with a charming twist, this restaurant has garnered a reputation for not just its food, but also for its inviting ambiance. Whether you're stopping by for a casual meal with family or a romantic dinner date, Grand Lux Cafe offers an experience that caters to every occasion.

As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by an atmosphere reminiscent of upscale dining, paired with the warmth of a family-friendly environment. The decor, akin to their sister establishment Cheesecake Factory, is visually captivating, offering plush seating and vibrant accents that add to the overall charm. With attentive waitstaff ensuring that your experience is seamless, you’re bound to feel right at home.

Let’s talk food! The menu boasts a delightful array of options, from small plates to hearty entrees. Start your meal with the Asian Short Rib Tacos, featuring marinated Kogi-style short ribs accompanied by housemade kimchi and a spicy chili aioli—perfect for sharing or savoring solo. If you're a fan of seafood, the Shrimp Scampi is a must-try, showcasing perfectly sautéed shrimp enveloped in a garlicky white wine sauce, served atop al dente pasta.

No visit would be complete without diving into their acclaimed wood-grilled offerings. The BBQ Baby Back Ribs are a highlight for many, as the tender meat practically falls off the bone, glazed with a flavorful BBQ sauce that leaves diners craving more. For something lighter, consider the Wood Grilled Salmon, elegantly plated with potato and broccoli, a dish that not only pleases the palate but also nourishes the body.

Guests frequently rave about the cocktails, particularly the Lemon Drop Martini and the somewhat elusive Chocolate Martini, which you can request even if it’s not on the menu. Just imagine indulging in one of these delightful drinks after a long day—they’re the perfect companion for unwinding and celebrating life’s little victories.

Customer feedback highlights the attentive service and overall positive dining experience. However, like any establishment, occasional hiccups occur, such as minor service delays or forgotten bread—yet these rarely overshadow the vibrant dining experience crafted by the culinary team at Grand Lux Cafe.

Ideal for any occasion, and conveniently located next to Roosevelt Field Mall and AMC Theater, Grand Lux Cafe is a destination worth seeking out. With its passionate culinary creations, welcoming atmosphere, and extensive drink menu, it's easy to see why patrons continuously return. As your food reviewer, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a seat at Grand Lux Cafe for your next dining adventure. You won't be disappointed!

We went to dinner, party of 5, requested seating outside. All was good until it got dark, I waited for the lights to be turned on but that didn't happen. I called the attention of the server and inquired; I understood that the lack of light is because permissions are needed. That is not good, it's not safe. Food was delicious, our server so nice. The weather helped with the ambiance, perfect for outdoor eating. GL serves the best Lemon Drop Martini I hope the lighting situation resolves soon.

Good food. Lovely and attentive waitstaff. Ambience is family friendly and first date safe. I love their cocktails. My favorite is the Espresso Martini. My Seniors asked to come here because of the food and service. They were elated that the fire didn't hurt anyone and reopened in time for our Sunday movie and lunch trip. Chris the Manager is always accommodating. He should rub off on Maria who takes reservations. She is just as salty and unfriendly as can be. Otherwise GL would get a

We got seated right away. We were worried since it seemed like everyone was out that day. The decor looks very similar to the Cheesecake Factory since they owned by them. The server was polite but he forgot to bring us bread after saying he would bring it. Does it matter? Well with all the food we had it probably didn't matter but it would have been nice since they do have good bread. My husband and daughter both ordered the lunch pasta. He had the carbonara. He liked it but we agreed we never saw carbonara with peas. It wasn't bad though. She got the spicy vodka al penne which she said was perfectly cooked and it had sausage and pancetta. They were pretty generous with the sausage. I had the BLT eggs benedict. I love the spicy hollandaise sauce. It really tied the poached egg, vegetables, bacon and English muffin together. The hash brown was nice and crispy on top (the bottom had no crisp). My only real complaint was the yolk was not as runny as I'd like. It's a little expensive and the service was a little hit and miss. But we really enjoyed the food.

The food was good except I think it could have a little more taste to the Alfredo. The portion size was nice and big. I ended up taking home food for later. I loved the chocolate martini. That is my favorite drink at Grand Lux Cafe! It's not in the menu but you can ask for it. The location is next to Roosevelt Field Mall and AMC Theater.

Drinks continue to be amazing - regardless of virgin or with alcohol. However make sure you look at your plates and utensils as ours all had stains on them and even crusted food - which we asked them replace all of. I really hope they get their act together with the cleaning as this is one of my favorite spots.

The staffs are friendly, they seated the four of us when we walked in without a reservation on a weekend. We were here for brunch. I ordered chicken and waffles, which was delicious. The place is really nice. The restrooms on the right when you walk in. Would come here if we are in the area. Staff: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5

Came in on a weekday for dinner and the host was very accommodating with my family of 4. I asked to change seats as soon as he directed to our table and he did not even hesitate. This was because the party adjacent to my original table smelled and I was very sensitive to it. The food was great. I do wish our waitress offered parm when our food arrived but that was about it.

Tried to go to Cheesecake Factory but there was a 45 min wait and we were starving so decided to go to grand lux and so happy that my friend recommended it . We were immediately seated, nice spacious booth. Service was quick and efficient. Food was really good , I had the mini beef Wellington , would definitely order it again . For dessert we had the butter cake , amazing treat !
